Pattern Recognition and Machine
Intelligence Laboratory (PARMIL) is a forum that gathers
researchers from different international
institutions. People at PARMIL have complementary
skills; our research contributions are directed towards the
same global goal that is to promote computer cognitive
tasks
Our
research spans a wide range of areas in pattern recognition and
machine learning, computer vision (image/video coding and
communications), embedded systems within connected healthcare, high
performance reconfigurable computing, image processing,
multiresolution analysis, biometrics, and medical
applications. In particular, we are interested in statistical
prediction using graphical models, data classification using
approximation of topological manifolds via geometrical constructors,
and inferring models from images (image/video segmentation and
structure from motion)
. Researchers at PARMIL have devised several novel
classification and clustering paradigms for diverse applications such as biometrics, scene
classification and objects tracking. Please, feel free to
contact any member of PARMIL should you have any questions or comments! |
